PurplerDOG has serviced productions of various sizes with our budget-friendly turn-key Dailies Service:

• On-set or off-set DMT personnel
• Data Management Equipment kit rental with robust RAID storage for fast footage offload and triple backup
• LTO tape backup of raw footage and audio for long term archival
• Sync and “one-light” and/or LUT-based colour grade
• Secure and efficient dailies distribution for web preview and for Editorial

OFFLINE EDIT SUITE RENTALS

Our goal is to provide a complete “under one roof” services to filmmakers. For Editors working on offline picture editorial, we have spacious, comfortable and well-equipped Edit Suites, that can accommodate a variety of workflows – for Editors, Assistant Editors, and in-person edit sessions with Editor, Director and Producer.

Our edit suites can be configured with a variety of hardware options, and tailored to operate in a Mac or Windows environment, loaded with industry-leading editorial software like Premiere Pro or Avid.

We have plenty of space for Post Supervisors and Producers to work here, in-between the supervised Colour or Sound sessions.

A bright and cozy Lounge Area where filmmakers can relax, have a cup of coffee or tea, and have their lunch break – makes all visitors feel like home!

SOUND POST PRODUCTION

We provide full sound post-production services for film, TV, and documentaries.  Services include:

• Sound Editorial: We craft seamless audio, blending dialogue, music, and sound effects for an immersive experience

• 5.1 Sound Mixing & Dolby Atmos: Specializing in 5.1 surround sound mixing and Dolby Atmos for a dynamic, three-dimensional audio environment.

• Theatrical Printmasters: In partnership with a Pilchner-Schoustal-designed mix stage, we deliver cinema-ready soundtracks that captivate and immerse.

• Foley & M&E: Our Foley artists add authentic sound effects, and M&E mixes ensure your project is ready for international distribution.

• ADR: We offer clean, studio-quality ADR for pristine dialogue replacement and synchronization.

COLOUR GRADING

Pioneering real-time playback and grading of raw 4K Red camera footage back in 2010, we have been at the forefront of technology when Blackmagic acquired Davinci Resolve software and made it widely available for filmmakers. Our colour suites today is equipped with all the latest and the greatest – but we also believe that at this day and age it’s not equipment that makes the movies… It is about the people who are behind it!
Our Senior Colourist is Mila Patriki, who has worked on films like The Witch, Resident Evil, 16 Blocks, Eastern Promises, and other films that have made a mark in the filmmaking history for their original & bold looks.

VISUAL EFFECTS

In most cases, you won’t see our VFX work in the film, because as we say – “if you don’t know it’s VFX, then we succeeded”. Our small but nimble VFX department has done work on a variety of feature films and TV series, from projects that need basic clean-up and wire removal to extensive creature augmentation, green screen chroma-keying  an set extensions that helped Toronto beaches look like a rural mountain area in Switzerland.

From fixing continuity errors to changing the view in the window – our work adds production value to your project. With our experienced team of artists, collaborating directly with the creators, and our leading knowledge in the latest visual effects techniques and software, we are ready to work with you to take your project to the finish line!
