We are located away from the time-eating hustle and bustle of the downtown core, right on the border of Toronto and Mississauga – just a 20-minute drive from downtown Toronto, which many of our clients have found much more convenient than navigating their way through downtown Toronto and struggling with expensive parking. Conveniently accessed by a dedicated transit line, with lots of free parking and just 10 minutes from Pearson Airport – with many dining options available for those who spend the entire day here with us supervising their projects. Our cozy kitchenette lounge area has space to relax between the sessions, have a snack, a refreshment or a coffee – or even lie down and have a quick nap!

Northern Light & Colour (North Bay)

PurpleDOG Post is proud to announce that our sister facility in Northern Ontario – Northern Light & Colour – has now established presence in North Bay, at 176 Lakeshore Drive, adding to the already existing Sudbury office. The new location serves as a location for our Northern team, and also offers on-set support for productions shooting in Northern Ontario, including Data Management equipment and services, Wireless Video Village equipment rentals, On-Location Satellite Internet Service, Cast Trailers, and many other items. It also provides full Dailies Service, Footage Backup and storage, and has a fast link with our Toronto facility for sending footage and materials for further processing, or delivery anywhere in the world.

SOUND SUITE B

Our Sound Suite B is celebrated for it’s design, acoustics and client comfort.

It is a more spacious version of the Sound Suite A that can accommodate up to 6 seating spaces and is calibrated for Dolby Atmos mix. It also boasts Genelec powered 5.1-calibrated monitors and newest Avid S4 console. Sound Suite B uses the most innovative acoustic design techniques – which makes it an even more perfect space for listening of the completed mix or recording new content like ADR or special effects.

PICTURE SUITE A

Our spacious Picture Suite A is equipped for critical Colour Correction and Playback in up to 4K, in SDR or HDR. All Colour monitors that are regularly calibrated for colour accuracy. Picture Suite A is geared for grading of the theatrical films as well as content destined for TV and VOD/SVOD/AVOD. The suite runs on DaVinci Resolve software and our machine can process 8K in real time – but, as we always say – “it’s not the equipment. It’s the people who operate it”!

SOUND SUITE A

Our Sound Suite A runs on Genelec powered 5.1-calibrated audio monitors, Avid S4 mixing console, while running the show on ProTools HD Ultimate – allowing for 300+ audio tracks. It is equipped for handling 5.1 mix, and is also used for supervised playback, reviews, and ADR sessions.

PICTURE SUITE B

To accommodate the growing demand, we now have TWO colour suites. The second (“Junior”) colour suite is designed to accommodate work on TV content – factual and non-scripted series, webisodes – projects where a lower cost and quicker workflow is important. EMAIL US TODAY to discuss your project!

ADR & VOICEOVER RECORDING

PurpleDOG Post offers on-site and remote ADR/Voiceover recording services. Our spacious Sound A suite can accommodate a Loop Group or Actor Voiceover groups of up to 6 people, using latest technology, re-configurable acoustics and a variety of recording microphones (see list below). We can also locate any other microphones upon request!

EDIT SUITES & CLIENT OFFICE SPACE

PurpleDOG Post offers comfortable and cozy suites for Offline Picture Editorial work. The Suites can be configured with a multitude of hardware and/or software configurations, to accommodate the most demanding workflows.

If you are a Producer or Post Production Supervisor working with us on a longer format project, we have a cozy office for you – where you can comfortably work outside of the Sound and/or Picture sessions. You can truly call PurpleDOG your home, when you are here every day!
